After making contact with Shannon via Facebook at the beginning of the year, we arranged to meet on a lovely sunny afternoon in June in the New Forest for a wonderful, relaxed pre-wedding shoot. These shoots are a brilliant opportunity for myself and the bride and groom to get to know each other and it all makes for a more relaxed atmosphere on the big day. Shannon and Peter bought along their gorgeous son, Leon, for this shoot and we all had great fun and got some amazing pictures.
And then as quick as a flash (excuse the pun!), their big day had arrived, as had Peter’s birthday!! A double celebration (and no excuse for Peter to forget his anniversary!). It was an early start for all as the ceremony was taking place at 10am. I met up with Shannon at her Dad Colin’s house where the blushing bride-to-be was having hair and make done whilst Step mum Abbie and cousin Sam organised around us all.
Shannon’s bridesmaids, Holly and Brenna, arrived at 8.30am along with Shannon’s Mum and a dapper little suited and booted Leon. That’s when the non-alcoholic fizz started flowing. It had to be non-alcoholic due to the fact that Leon is due to become a big brother in December! More family celebrations to come! I stepped in to help Colin don his tie before making my way to Bournemouth Registry Office to rendezvous with the birthday boy and his Best Man Jordan. Both were looking especially sharp in their Army uniforms, with Peter in the historic red coat of the Army’s Full Dress uniform. The sun was beaming all day and after a lovely service, we all made our way across to the gardens opposite the Registry Office where I captured some beautiful formal photos as onlookers admired the blissfully happy Mr and Mrs Carney and their guests.
